Thiruvananthapuram: State Police Chief T P Senkumar sent a report to the centre holding the AAI's fire department personnel primarily responsible for igniting the tension.

The CISF personnel were also held responsible for aggravating the situation further.

In the report sent to union home secretary L C Goyal, the state police chief also suggested various steps to improve coordination among agencies in the airports, ensuring cordial behaviour by CISF personnel and cooperation of airport officials with security checks.
