Washington: Music video has hip-hop veteran seated under the Faravahar, a symbol of the Zoroastrian guardian angel. Zoroastrians have launched a petition against rapper Snoop Dogg after he was featured in a music video sitting on a throne under the Faravahar, alongside scantily-clad women.
The Faravahar is a symbol for Zoroastrian guardian angel and is part of Persian culture and folklore. American Snoop Dogg, born Calvin Cordozar Broadus Jr, released the video which forms the visuals for his latest song, King. The singer of the track is is Iranian singer Amitis. Parsis world over are now launching collective action against the singer and have launched a Change.org petition asking for an apology.
