I was touched by my friends’ gesture: Vikranth

Vikranth, the cousin of actor Vijay seems to have finally arrived in K’town. Now, with his upcoming movie Thakka Thakka which is directed by his elder brother Sanjeev and presented by Thaanu, the young actor is excited.

“I play a boy who works in a wine shop and has been ignored by the society. It is an action thriller and I can promise that it is a quality movie with high technical standards,” says Vikranth. Apparently, the Celebrity Cricket League has brought lot of young actors together. Vikranth could rope in Vishal, Arya and Vishnu for the promo album Thakka Thakka.

“When we decided to cut a promo song, these three actors  came to my mind immediately. Though I share close camaraderie with Vishal, Arya and Vishnu, initially I was not sure as to how they would react to my request. When I approached them, the next thing they asked was, ‘when do you want to shoot?’ I was touched by their gesture.

We shot the theme album for a whole day without any break at Binny Mills. Today when everyone appreciates the song’s visuals, I feel gratified,” smiles Vikranth. The music for the theme album is composed by Jakes, a popular Tollywood composer.
