Chandrababu Naidu asks Modi to rein in Telangana government quickly
Mr Naidu said that the Section 5 of AP Reorganisation Act has ordained it Hyderabad
Hyderabad: Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chan-drababu Naidu requested the immediate intervention of Prime Minister Narendra Modi to ensure that comprehensive institutional arrangement and operational protocol is put in place by the Central government so that the city of Hyderabad can function as an effective and equitable common capital for AP and Telangana and ensure the safety of all people living in Hyderabad.
In a representation submitted to the Prime Minister two days ago at Delhi, Mr Naidu said that the Section 5 of AP Reorganisation Act has ordained that Hyderabad city, covering the area of Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) shall be common capital for the states of AP and Telangana for 10 years.
