N Srinivasan quits as chief of India Cements Capital Ltd

'N Srinivasan and TS Raghupathy have resigned as directors of the company'

Update: 2015-06-13 02:13 GMT
In January this year, the Supreme Court barred N Srinivasan from participating in the BCCI elections for conflict of interest. The apex court said he was ineligible because he vested "commercial interest" in the sport since he owned an IPL team. (

Chennai: N. Srinivasan has resigned from the board of financial services firm, ICCL, a part of the India Cements group. In a BSE filing, India Cements Capital Ltd (ICCL) said: “N. Srinivasan and T.S. Raghupathy have resigned as directors of the company with effect from March 30, 2015.”

The move is reportedly unconnected with any of the activities of the main company, which is the Indian Cements Ltd. Srinivasan continues as MD of the cement major, which had earlier this year moved the IPL cricket team Chennai Super Kings into a separate company with a different set of directors.
