Cash-for-vote: Crucial week in store for Chandrababu Naidu, authentication of tapes likely by Monday

Forensic authentication of video & audiotapes are expected by either Monday or Tuesday

Hyderabad: The next move of the ACB investigating the cash-for-vote scam including the alleged phone conversation of Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu with MLA Elvis Stephenson will most likely trigger new developments next week, with Telangana state Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao’s adamant attitude in booking a case against his Andhra Pradesh counterpart.

Sources from the investigating agencies said the reports from the forensic lab on authentication of videotapes and audiotapes are expected by either Monday or Tuesday.

Based on the reports the investigating agency will either prefer sending notices to Mr Naidu for questioning or it can directly name him as an accused.
