Hyderabad: Deep Web, also known as Deep Net, Invisible Web or Hidden Web is a space where no authority has control as users have absolute anonymity.

With a parallel economy using bitcoins business worth millions are done here every month without any regulation by authorities.

The content and websites in Deep Web are never listed and are not available on major search engines like Google or Yahoo. So users can get into this space only by using virtual private networks or special search engines.

“You can enter Deep Web only by making yourself anonymous. The TOR network on the Deep Web hides the IP address and the activity of the user. Every buying and selling are done anonymously. When someone buys an illegal product the buyers will send their addresses using message encryption services in order to ship the product. So, only the vendor can read the address and not market operators,” said an IT expert who has used Deep Web.

Users, who have gone into Deep Web say that apart from illegal business, they have also seen very disturbing things. There are videos of horrific violence, war crimes and even details of illegal experiments conducted on humans. “Every banned material can be accessed in Deep Web. There are several pedophile communities there,” said an IT expert.

“This world is completely different what you see in regular Internet. In future the large unauthorised money transactions through bitcoins in Deep Web can even destabilise a country’s economy,” he added.

Experts say a vast chunk of the Internet is in Deep Web and its actual size is impossible to fathom.
