Hyderabad: The government is studying the exemptions being given to several goods and whether these are still needed after bifurcation.
For example, poultry feed manufactured in AP is mostly exported to Telangana while AP imports chicken from Telangana.
Government feels that in such circumstances, it may not be necessary to continue the exemption on poultry feed.
At the same time, in AP, there is very little manufacturing activity of beedies, but huge quantities of beedies are imported from Telangana and consumed in AP. In this context, the government feels it may be necessary to re-examine the exemption on beedies.
