Actor Vishal inaugurates health camp for auto drivers

Actor and producer Vishal was the chief guest at a mega, free, master health check-up and treatment advisory camp held exclusively for Chennai autorickshaw drivers and their family by Ungalukagha Charitable Trust in association with Rotary Club of Madras, T. Nagar, and Global Health City, Perumbakkam, Chennai, on June 14 at CIT Nagar’s Chennai corporation higher secondary school.

The event was presided over by Dr K. Ravindranath, chairman and managing director Global Hospitals Group, and the guest of honour was A.P. Kanna, past district governor of Rotary District 3230. The special invitees included S. Mahaveer Bothra, president, Rotary Club of Madras T. Nagar, industrialist B. Shridar Reddy, and V. Bhaskar Reddy, vice-president, corporate relations, Global Health City, Chennai.

‘Ungalukagha’ Dr Suneel, founder and managing trustee of Ungalukagha Charitable Trust, welcomed the gathering and explained about the trust’s activities and plans. They plan to plant 5,000 rare medicinal and flower saplings in various schools and colleges in Chennai. Also, three tricycles were distributed to physically-challenged persons on the occasion. Around 890 people, including autorickshaw drivers and their family, attended the camp.
