BENGALURU: A day after the issue of popular actor Yash not paying house rent snowballed into a controversy, the house owners held a press meet on Tuesday and clarified that they were not threatened by the actor, but by his mother Pushpa, when they asked her to vacate the house.

The house owners, Dr M. Muniprasad and his wife Dr Vanaja, told reporters that Yash was a polite person and had never threatened or insulted them. “Yash is a nice person and we have no issues with him. But his mother Pushpa is the one who is being rude with us. She along with several other people threatened us when we went to ask them to vacate the house,” Dr. Vanaja said.

The couple also admitted that they were ready for talks with Yash and his mother and they wanted to solve the issue amicably. “More than the rent, we want our house back. Whenever we asked them to vacate the house, they have been seeking more time giving for one reason or other.

“They also wanted to open office in our house and we don’t want it. Yash was not reachable, though we made efforts to contact him over phone several times,” Vanaja added.
