KOZHIKODE: With the publication of the entrance exam results, the  parents and students are rushing for admissions to  engineering, medicine and architectural colleges.

To make the process simple, three  former engineering students from Kozhikode have come up with an   android mobile application that can help the students  know about the status of their ranks and the right  institutions for them as per their scores.

The  application named ‘KEAM Rank Analyser’ is the brainchild of Nishad K. Saleem,  O.N. Amjed Ali and Shamnas Thattoor, who recently incubated their IT company ‘Softfruit solutions’ at Startup Village.  KEAM Rank Analyzer is their first non- commercial project.

The  application comprises  precise data about  178 engineering colleges and their 29 branches and 76 medical colleges and  four  branches.

Nishad K. Saleem said, “Around 35,000 seats for engineering remained vacant last year and it was due to the lack of awareness about these colleges that parents had to take admissions for their wards in other state colleges.  Our application will solve this problem  by giving the details about the colleges,  including the courses offered, college website, contact number and location.”

The app was released on Tuesday at Google Play store. Download  ‘KEAM Rank Analyzer’ or visit https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.softfruit.entrancehelper
