Saraswathi Vidyanikethan steals show in engineering ranklist
The students are focused on their goal and they have secured good marks in the CBSE examination also
KOCHI: No other school in the state may have the glory that has come the way of Saraswathi Vidy-anikethan, Elamakkara here. Five students from the school have figured in the top 20 ranks in state engineering rank-list published by the Commissioner of Entr-ance Examinations.
They are Kevin Abra-ham Cherian (sixth rank), Shashwath Shukla (8), Joshua Perter Ebenezer (14), Mohan Nandakuamr (18) and S. Raghav Vaidyanathan (19). School principal G. Devan attributed the success to the students hard work, parental support and the training by teachers and the facilities offered by the school.
“We focused on professional course curriculum support while conducting the regular classes. The students are focused on their goal and they have secured good marks in the CBSE examination also. The CBSE students have come out top in this, fighting the liberal support given to the state stream students,” said Devan. A total of 66 students out of 100 from the school qualified in the IIT-JEE Main exam also.
Kevin wants to join IIT- Mumbai. DElhi or Madras in electrical engineering and is waiting for the IIT-JEE advanced results on Thursday. “I have already got admission to IISc, Bangalore, but I prefer to become an engineer,” said Kevin who has both NTSE and KVPY scholarships to his credit.
Shashwat Shukla has also secured KVPY and NTSE scholarships. He has secured admission at IISc, Bangalore, for both BS Research and BS Material Science. He is keen on pursuing either engineering, physics or mechanical at IIT Mumbai.
