Hyderabad: The AP government has found fault with Telangana for withdrawing police personnel from seven mandals that merged with it last year.

DGP J.V. Ramudu said, “They had withdrawn cops from constable to deputy superintendent of police rank from all seven mandals from Khammam that merged with AP. We are now managing with special police and other forces. How can the territorial posts can be withdrawn?”

AP has decided to take up this issue in the wake of recent developments. Meanwhile, AP has asked for recall of 400 police personnel working in Hyderabad police. So far, only 70 have returned. AP has also decided to ask for 4,000 policemen.
