Two die as electric post comes crashing at Ammadam

THRISSUR: Two motorists were killed in a tragic mishap at Ammadam on Thursday evening after an electric Poll fell on them.

The deceased were identified as Saleesh (30) and Chummaru (40). According to the police,  Chummara who was on bike was killed on the spot after the poll fell on him directly whereas Saleesh, on his bike was speaking to his friend on the road when the poll hit him.

Saleesh was pronounced dead on the way to Hospital.  It is learnt that an old Banyan tree which fell on the poll threw the poll to the road, that had resulted in the mishap. Fire Force reached the spot and removed the debris off the road.
