Anil Kapoor to co-produce Virgin Produced India's first Bollywood flick
The comedy film about teenagers also has music maestro A. R. Rahman on board

Mumbai: Virgin Produced India has announced its first Bollywood project in collaboration with actor and producer Anil Kapoor and his daughter Rhea Kapoor. The untitled film, that is a comedy, will be co-produced under the banner of Anil Kapoor Film Company and will be directed by debutant director Karan Boolani.
According to reports, the film revolves around teenagers who meet during their freshmen year at an American university.
The project will also feature Oscar-winning composer A. R. Rahman who has recorded the soundtracks for films like ‘Slumdog Millionaire’ and ‘127 Hours’.
“With the film, we look forward to taking Virgin Produced’s unique and successful business model, expanding it here in Bollywood and building a significant partnership that will cater to the youth through a film that will truly be on par with global standards,” Kapoor said in a statement.
Virgin Produced India partner Jas Mann was quoted in a statement saying, “We are delighted to join forces with Anil and Rhea on the film and look forward to a long and productive relationship.They are as passionate and dedicated to filmmaking as we are.”
Among its film projects, Kapoor's banner produced the Indian adaptation of Fox's 24 series, and of late the Disney flick starring Sonam Kapoor and Fawad Khan, ‘Khubsoorat’ that was co-produced by Rhea.
