First look of Sridevi, Vijay starrer ‘Puli’ is out

Mumbai: Actress Sridevi‘s upcoming Tamil project ‘Puli’ is an action adventure on the lines of Hollywood film ‘The Gladiator’, says producer Shibu Thameens. The first look of the film released sees superstar Vijay as a warrior. The look has impressed the audience and they are praising it to the heavens

‘Puli’, whose teaser will be unveiled shortly, will also be released in Hindi.

The ‘English Vinglish’ actress, who is returning to Tamil cinema after a gap of more than two decades, is reportedly playing a queen in the fantasy film that also stars superstar Vijay.

“Everyone in the South wants her back, she’s really popular here. A lot of filmmakers must have approached her here but we are happy that she heard the script and agreed to do ‘Puli’.

“The film is an action-adventure on the lines of Russell Crowe’s ‘The Gladiator’. She is the head of a group, someone with unbelievable strength and powers,” Shibu said in a statement. Also starring Sudeep of ‘Makkhi’ fame, Shruti Haasan and Hansika Motwani, the film is directed by Chimbu Deven. Co-produced by Thameens and PT Selvakumar, it is slated to release later this year.
