The first look stills for Vijay’s upcoming fantasy thriller Puli were released on Saturday and the makers had planned to release its teaser on Monday midnight (12 am) as a gift to Vijay’s fans, as his birthday falls on June 22. However, the one-minute teaser got leaked and started going viral by afternoon on Sunday on social networking sites. With no option left, the makers released the official teaser. Later, it has been found that it was MS, Midhun, an intern who works in Four Frames preview theatre, was behind the same and was arrested by the police.

It’s learnt that the video was recorded while the mixing of the film took place a couple of days ago.Speaking on the same, a vexed PT Selvakumar, one of the producers of the film, says, “We were all upset with the leakage as our plan was to release it at midnight as a gift to Ilayathalapathy fans. It’s so painful that our plans went haywire when someone who has nothing to do with the film played spoilsport with his dishonest act.

This is like making a mockery of our hard work where lots of artistes and technicians worked hard for five months. Director Priyadarshan, who heads the studio, has assured that strong action will be initiated against the person behind this. The Producers’ Council will hold a meeting on Monday to analyse the issue and to ensure that similar incidents do not take place further. However, we are content that we were able to track down the culprit.”
