Hyderabad: The Telangana government decided to speed up investigation and secure forensic reports of the videotapes involving A. Revanth Reddy and the audiotape of Mr Naidu.

The TS government also decided to seek the intervention of the Centre and the Governor against the AP government using its police to browbeat the Telangana media, politicians and officials. It will ask the Centre to direct the AP to withdraw its police force from Hyderabad or face the consequences.

T News is owned by Mr Chandrasekhar Rao, his relatives and others. It is located in the TRS Banjara Hills office and a notice against it is considered one against Mr Rao. The T News decided to write to the President, the PM, the I&B minister and Press Council of India against the AP government’s provocative actions and attempts to stifle the voice of the media.

The AP government which has decided to initiate legal action against T News alleged that the programme was defamatory, deliberate, false and has suggestive innuendoes and half-truths and is disrupting public tranquillity. T News representatives said the charge is baseless since T News is blocked by cable operators in AP and there is little scope for people to watch it.
