HRD ministry to seek reversal of UPA reforms

CABE’s first meeting under the Modi government is likely to take place within the next few weeks

New DelhiThe Central Advisory Board of Education (CABE), the highest advisory body on education in the country, is likely to meet soon and the HRD ministry is set to seek reversal of several UPA government-initiated education reforms. The government is contemplating seeking review of the no-detention policy till the eighth grade and also the reintroduction of mandatory Class 10 board exams in CBSE schools.
