KOZHIKODE: People who are ignorant about yoga and Indian culture are opposing it, opined Muslim League leader and MLA K.N.A. Khader. He was addressing a gathering during the International Yoga Day celebrations at Veda Vyasa Vidya Niketan School in Malappuram on Sunday. He said yoga training should be made mandatory in all schools. “Yoga is not the asset of any religion, political party or organisation,” he said.

He also inaugurated the function by lighting the lamp. Recently education minister P. K. Abdu Rabb was at the receiving end of criticism for refusing to light the lamp during P. N. Panicker Memorial Meet inauguration. Mammootty, who was the chief guest of that function, publicly criticised the minister over the issue.
