Bajirao to arrive in 2016, but why?

Ever since Rohit Shetty revealed the release date of his much-awaited Dilwale, everyone has been waiting for Sanjay Leela Bhansali to announce the same for his magnum opus Bajirao Mastani.

Earlier, the film was slated to get a December release, but due to a couple of snags, it got postponed. Bhansali was racing against time to get the film ready in time for a December release, which would’ve allowed history to repeat itself. In 2007, SLB’s Saawariya clashed with Shah Rukh Khan’s Om Shanti Om.

If rumours are to be believed, the director now plans on releasing the film in 2016 to avoid a box-office clash. If things go as planned, the film may just be headed for a solo release in 2016.
