COIMBATORE: Students should develop inquisitiveness and develop integrity, determination, humility and the spirit of team work, said C. A. Vasuki, secretary and director of Kongunadu Arts and Science College at the graduation ceremony of the college.
“Your success will depend upon three things: how to think, how to act and how to believe,” she told students who should consider their graduation not as an end but as the beginning of the discovery of the self.
Graduates have to be ready to face new challenges and take up new opportunities. Teachers should come forward as role models to the students, since they were involved in the mission of guiding the new generation, she added.
As many as 925 graduating students received their degrees on the occasion. prof Dr S. Manian reminded the graduating students that education is a continuous process for the benefit of society.
The ideal of a non-violent and peaceful nation lies in the hands of its youth. Education benefits both self and country. He advised the students to dream big in order to achieve big. “Your dream becomes a goal only when you take action towards its achievement,” he said.
