Vijayawada: School bus rolls over, 14 injured

Vijayawada: A school bus carrying 32 students met with an accident while on way to school on Monday at Puttagunta Village, near Nandivada, injuring 14 children. As per the information, 14 students suffered minor injuries when the school bus rolled over after losing its balance. The students, who all are from Gudivada Vidyalaya School, were on their way to school when the bus met with the accident around 9AM in the morning. 

 

The injured children were taken to Government General Hospital and discharged after first aid. The ongoing road works, potholes and the heavy downpour are blamed for the incident. However, RTO officials who arrived at the place took custody of the bus and filed a case against the school management. 

 

Deputy Transport Commissioner Mr Venkateswara Rao said that all roads are under construction and they have requested various departments to complete all the works as early as possible to avoid mishaps.
