MS Dhoni is affected by dressing room rift, says his personal coach Chanchal Bhattacharya
'Something is definitely affecting his mindset and stopping him from playing freely'
Ranchi: Chanchal Bhattacharya, the childhood coach of Mahendra Singh Dhoni, on Monday said the Ranchi lad maybe is unable to deliver results expected of him as skipper because of the prevailing atmosphere in the dressing room.
Bhattacharya told ANI that Dhoni has a lot of pressure on him as a captain and added that may be he is unable to adjust with the dressing room's environment.
Following India’s loss against Bangladesh in Mirpur on Sunday, MS Dhoni was asked about how long he would continue as captain, he made it clear that he would continue but not before taking a dig at the scribe.

"I am really enjoying my cricket. But when the earlier question was asked, I knew this one question was coming. These questions always keep popping. The media loves me. If it is justifiable if you remove me and the Indian cricket will start doing well, and if I am the reason for all the bad that's happening to Indian cricket, definitely I would love to step away and play as a player.”
"It doesn't really matter, who is the captain because I was never really in line to become the captain. It was a job or responsibility for me. They want to take it away from me, I am fine," he said.
Although it was a sarcastic remark from Dhoni, it has led to some speculation.

"I don't know the inside story but we have seen Dhoni play and fight till the last over. If one's mind is not at peace then it is impossible to play," Bhattacharya said.
"He is unable to deliver his best because of mental pressure and because of the dressing room's environment as well as the media. I haven't spoken to him but I feel the environment of the dressing room is bad," he added.
He said that Dhoni still has immense talent and will be in the side for some more time taking into consideration his current form.
Bhattacharya, however, said that the dressing room environment may have been the reason behind Dhoni's recent remark suggesting that he was ready to step down as the skipper.
