Mystic Mantra: The aura of the sadhak
You should not leave yoga for anything, because there is nothing apart from it
As you progress on the path of yoga, your experiences grow accordingly. If the experiences are happening, you are progressing. If they are reducing, then you need to look into yourself and see where you are making a mistake, because if you are walking the path shown by your guru, it is impossible for experiences not to take place.
I get emails from sadhaks all over the world, sharing their experiences, about having seen different things. Majority of them have had conversations with gods and goddesses. Some describe the chakras and energy body in detail, while others write to me about the swaroop of the brahmand and of the shaktis that run creation. For in a lot of cases, the experience exists only in the mind and is not real. This is determined by the evolutionary stage of the practitioner and his/her ego, both of which are inversely proportional to each other. With highly egoistic people, the mind often self-glorifies and gives false experiences which further feed the ego, spelling disaster for a sadhak.
As a guru, I can tell the real experience from the unreal one — it is clearly visible in the aura of the sadhak. When you have darshans of gods and goddesses and of divine forms, the aura changes. This is accompanied by an increase in charity and service. The ego subsides. All this follows naturally, not per force, after a spiritual experience under the sanidhya of a guru.
These lakshans are manifest in people who have had real experiences. It is the others who “think” they have had an experience under the influence of their ego, who wobble and are not able to stay on for long. After some time they get swayed by a small attraction, say a new job or a new partner, and leave the path of yoga. There is nothing wrong in getting a job or a partner, it is leaving yoga that is wrong.
You should not leave yoga for anything, because there is nothing apart from it. You might receive pleasure for a few years but beyond that there is only hell. Every relationship, every job, every position of power is temporary and unreal.
