Mumbai: It is official! Tiger Shroff has replaced Aamir Khan in the upcoming action flick ‘Kung Fu Yoga’. Reports on Wednesday state that it was Aamir who recommended the young actor to star opposite international superstar Jackie Chan.
Aamir was due to star opposite the martial arts expert, but turned down the role as it clashed with his ‘Dangal’ dates. The actor, who has packed on the pounds and a lot of muscle too, passed on the batten to the young and agile Tiger, already known for his gymnastics skills.
In an interview with DNA, Tiger revealed, They have seen a lot of my footage and Aamir sir was very kind to put in a word for me. He was in China and had referred my name to the makers. That's how it happened. They started my videos and were quite impressed with my agility and my skills."
The young star is reportedly very excited to work with his childhood superstar, in the film that will begin shooting in September. Tiger has even met the makers of the film who recently flew down from China especially to meet him and sort out dates.
However, the actor has a line up of films that he has already committed himself to, one being Sajid Nadiadwala’s ‘Baaghi and the other being Remo D’Souza’s ‘Flying Jat’.
Tiger is still waiting for his dates to be allotted to him. If all goes well, we are likely to see the star doing what he does best!
Katrina Kaif is also rumoured to be apart of this project, but has still to sign the dotted line.
