HYDERABAD: In a written reply to Governor E.S.L. Narasimhan, Attorney-General Mukul Rohatgi said, “You may give instructions directing that neither the state of Telangana nor any of the officers, employees and functionaries can indulge in any activity without prior approval of Governor of AP and Telangana.”
Mr Rohatgi also suggested that if any criminal case was registered by the TS government, its investigation would proceed under the Governor’s supervision. Meanwhile, a top functionary of the AP government said, “Section 8 of the AP Reorganisation Act is not conditional. Mr Rao is claiming that there was no incident. The section is mandatory. It has to be implemented unconditionally.”
