Hyderabad: AP and TS police are facing a huge shortage of personnel for deployment for Godavari Pushakaralu as they are held simultaneously in both the states. While AP needs 35,000 policemen for deployment TS needs around 18,000.

Interestingly both the states have approached Karnataka for additional forces for deployment during the Pushakaralu. TS DGP Anurag Sharma reviewed the security plan for Godavari Pushkaralu with the superintendents of police of Adilabad, Nizamabad, Karimnagar, Warangal and Khammam districts and concerned DIGs.

TS police has decided to use koya language in order to communicate with the tribals in the borders during Pushkaralu on the public address system. AP has decided to use drones and surveillance cameras to keep tabs on the area.
