'Women are whipped, stoned and sold', former bride recruiter warns ISIS sympathisers
The woman was one of the members of the Al-Khansa, a woman's battalion formed solely for the purpose of luring women
Berlin: A former ISIS bride recruiter, who has defected, has spoken out on the contemptible treatment of women in the ISIS controlled territory and warned young western women to keep away.
The 23-year-old A Syrian, who identified only as Uma Asma, was speaking in an interview to the German newspaper Bild Am Sonntag. She said that she was one of the thousands of Syrian who lead entirely normal lives, wore western clothes, had Christian friends and went dancing, but had to put up with ISIS in order for her survival after the group conquered Raqqa.
Describing her work for the terrorist outfit, Uma Asma said that she was one of the members of the Al-Khansa, a woman's battalion formed solely for the purpose of luring women, and her duty involved transporting western women from the Turkish border to the ISIS territory.
"You are young. The caliphate is not what you think. Woman are whipped, sold and stoned. Corpses are on display publicly for weeks," she is quoted to have said, adding that she has sometimes transported 50 western women at a time to the ISIS.
The revelations is very important in Europe as over the past year increasing number of western women are travelling to ISIS held territories, with more number of French, German and British women in the list. It is unclear whether she has been interrogated by the European authorities.
