Bengaluru: Two men kidnap child

BENGALURU: Diverting a woman’s attention, two unidentified men abducted her one-and-a-half-year-old grandson in Vidyaranyapura police limits on Tuesday evening.
The child, Vijay, was playing outside the house near Amba Bhavani Temple around 8 pm on Tuesday. His grandmother, who was sitting in front of the house, was talking to her nieghbours.
Two strangers came to her and started talking to her. They also picked up the child on the pretext of playing with him.
“While one of them diverted the attention of the woman, the other escaped with the baby. A few minutes later, the other man also left. The woman realised that they had kidnapped the child only after the baby’s mother Eramma asked her about Vijay. They searched the entire locality, but could not trace him,” the police said.
