Priyamani plays a cop

RP Patnaik, the music director-turned-director, is directing a Telugu-Kannada bilingual now. “Priyamani is playing  a powerful CBI officer. One sees her  mostly in glamour roles, but in this film, you will  see her performance,” says Patnaik. He added that she worked hard to get the mannerisms of a CBI officer right.

“This a political thriller and mostly related to the  present scenario,” says Patnaik, adding that,  it’s a high drama with thrilling moments. “When I narrated the story to Priyamani, she was  excited and immersed herself  into the character. I can compare her character with Vijayashanthi’s in Karthavyam,” says Patnaik. He is planning to release the film in July or August.
