Bengaluru: The HSR Layout police arrested four employees of the Karnataka Composite Development Corporation (KCDC) on Friday in connection with the mysterious death of a 10-year-old boy.

The arrested have been identified as Nagaraj, production division manager, Muniraju, supervisor, Dhramendar, composite machine operator, and Basudeb Roy, a JCB operator.

The police said that preliminary investigations showed that the deceased, Narasimhamurthy, accidentally got stuck in the machine and died. The negligence of the employees led to the death of the boy, said a senior police officer.

“We will question the arrested employees. We are also waiting for the postmortem report to ascertain the exact cause of death. For now, they have been arrested for negligence,” he said. Narasimhamurthy was found dead under mysterious circumstances on the premises of KCDC on Thursday. The mother of the deceased alleged that her son was murdered by the employees of the KCDC.
