Hyderabad: The special court for ACB cases handed over the AP Forensic Science Laboratory’s preliminary technical report in the cash-for-vote scam to the investigating agency. Copies of video and audio conversations were handed over to the Anti-Corruption Bureau. The Election Commission had earlier filed memos in the court seeking the the reports.
Armed with the report, Anti-Corruption Bureau top officials began an exercise to draw inferences from the report. An Anti-Corruption Bureau official said two computer specialists and officers with forensic expertise were on the job. “If needed we will take the help of experts from outside,” he said.
“Any decision on serving notice or add accused in the FIR or collect test voice samples will be taken after our experts decode the tapes and analyse the technical report,” he said. The Anti-Corruption Bureau did not confirm reports that a financier from Ameerpet was involved in the scam and that his phone number cropped up several times in the call data record of Telugu Desam MLA A. Revanth Reddy.
