Purification of heart and body is the aim
Fasting would have the expected result only if it results in good deeds.
The holy month of Ramzan is a period of spiritual rebirth for Muslims all over the world. Purification of heart and body is the ultimate aim to be achieved in the sacred season. Ramzan is a time for self-reflection and sharing, sacrifice, fasting and prayer. It is also a time for renewing faith and strengthening the bonds between family and friends. Fasting is not a mere physical act as a part of worship, but it is the blessed way to realise ourselves and the way of understanding others. By fasting, we do understand the living condition of the poor and that way people are encouraged to help the needy in the society.
Fasting would have the expected result only if it results in good deeds. Charity is very important in Islam, and even more so during Ramzan. It is the most significant way of worship. We are also doing our bit during the season. Jamia Markaz is in action to provide dress, food and other needful kits for 450 refugee families settled in Haryana and outskirts of Delhi. We will take care of them.
During festive seasons, we always should remember the poor and come forward with charitable activities. The holy month is also time for loving each other by promoting peace and harmony among different communities.
Nobody should live with jealousy, hypocrisy, cheating and exploitation during the holy season. Living in goodness is highly recommended. Ramzan activates the believers to have social commitment and truthfulness as well. It also advocates being with the downtrodden in the society.
