Stranded pilgrims rescued

About 180 pilgrims belonging to Andhra Pradesh were asked to stay on the hills

HYDERABADThe Andhra Pradesh government has arranged buses for the safe return of pilgrims who were stranded at Badrinath, said Kambampati Ramamohan Rao, special officer of the government in New Delhi on Saturday.
 
He said that 12 persons from AP were rescued with the help of Army helicopters. They were suffering from health problems as well as age-related factors. About 180 pilgrims belonging to Andhra Pradesh were asked to stay on the hills on Saturday and would come down on Sunday morning. Mr Kambampati said that all of them would reach New Delhi within one or two days.
