Last rank allotment details of various category in Thiruvananthapuram Medical college is as follows: Kudumbi (335), Muslim (389), Backward Hindu (417), Ezhava (459), Latin Catholic (635), Viswakarma (673), Backward Christians (745), Dheevara (1011), Kusuvan (1510), Scheduled Caste (3299) and Scheduled Tribe (10109).
Kozhikode Medical College: Backward Hind (346), Muslim (354), Viswakarma (391), Ezhava (441), Latin Catholic (771), Backward Christians (1175), Dheevara (1409), Scheduled Caste (2317), Kusuvan (2516), Kudumbi (4115) and Scheduled Tribe (9857).
Thiruvananthapuram Medical College has 200 seats and Kozhikode Medical College 250 seats. However, there were no takers for newly started Idukki and Palakkad medical colleges in merit quota.

In the only self-financing medical college in the first round of allotment, Malankara Orthodox Syrian Church Medical College, the last rank allotted in merit quota is 713.
Though options were invited to Co-operative Academy of Medical Sciences, Pariyaram, Amala Medical College, Jubilee Mission Medical College and Pushpagiri Medical College they could not produce approval documents from the Medical Council of India (MCI) to the Commissioner for Entrance Examinations (CEE).
These colleges will be considered during the next phases of allotment if the colleges provided all the documents.
