Dolly, father, enter record book in separate events
Secretary of AP Archery Association and Dolly’s father, Ch Satyanarayana, set another record along with 40 archers

Vijayawada: Five budding archers, along with archery prodigy Ch Dolly Shivani, set a new record in the history of Indian archery by scoring more than 50 per cent of the points in a mixed recurve archery event on Sunday. Apart from the kid archers' event, secretary of AP Archery Association and Dolly’s father Ch Satyanarayana set another record along with 40 archers.
India Book of Records and Asia Book of Records witnessed the two events and announced the record. Mr Satyanarayana along with 39 other archers from Vijayawada shot over 430 arrows to the target in 30 minutes against the actual record target of 320 arrows in an hour. It is the first time that such a huge number of archers took part in an event in the country.
Meanwhile, Dolly who teamed up separately with budding archers Talla Nischan, 4, Poranki Susanth, 5, Doppalapudi Virat Sai, 4, Ch Bilvesh Dattasai, 7 and D. Varnith Sai, 7, scored more than 50 per cent out of the 180 points in 6, 7, 8,9 and 10 metre events.
Biswarup Roy Chowdary, editor-in-chief of India Book of Records announced the record in the name of Dolly, her five partners and the 40 other archers. This is the second national record for Dolly after her first record of being the youngest archer in country set on March 24.
