Elvis Stephenson may face contempt proceedings
Justice Rao said that since the court had chosen not to recuse, it would hear the quash plea of Mr Mathaiah

Hyderabad: Justice Shankar Rao of the Hyderabad HC directed the Registry that after obtaining permission from the Chief Justice if required, a contempt proceedings be started against the MLA Elvis Stephenson.
Justice Rao said that since the court had chosen not to recuse, it would hear the quash plea of Mr Mathaiah.
The judge also requested the CJ to grant permission to issue proceedings under Section 327 (1) of the CrPC so that only parties, their advocates, besides the TS advocate-general and ACB prosecutor be allowed to attend the proceedings.
