Sivakarthikeyan’s next movie is a rom-com

We reported earlier that Sivakarthikeyan’s next film will feature a few big names as part of its technical crew. PC Sreeram, who had cranked the camera for I and Ok Kanmani released this year, would be behind the lens for this untitled project. The film, which was launched officially in the city on Wednesday, will be directed by debutant Bakkiyaraj, a former assistant to Sundar C and Atlee, and will have Anirudh scoring the music.

This makes it a third consecutive time that Anirudh scores music for a movie by Siva. Sean Foot of Weta Digital, NZ, who worked in I, has also been brought on board here by the filmmakers. Much to the delight of film buffs, Oscar-winning sound mixer Resul Pookutty has been roped in for the movie. We are still awaiting confirmation about the female lead of the film, which is billed as a rom-com and produced by RD Raja, under the aegis of 24 AM Studios.
