AP DGP JV Ramudu says Section 8 a need, gives no reason

On the cased filed against KCR, DGP said that the Special Investigation Team has been investigating the case

VisakhapatnamKeeping the debate on Section 8 of the AP Reorganisation Act, open, AP DGP J.V. Ramudu was of the opinion that implementation of Section 8 is the need of the hour on law and order in Hyderabad. 
 
Though the AP top cop did not mention specific reasons for favouring Section 8 of the Act, he said that in the present circumstances in Hyderabad, it is necessary to invoke the Section and empower the Governor to protect the residents of the common capital and vital installations.
 
Speaking to reporters after attending the 29th Onshore Security Coordination Committee meeting, AP region, organised by oil companies at a hotel in Vizag here on Tuesday, the DGP said that there are so many Acts and Laws in our country and it is time to implement Section 8. On the cased filed against TS Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao on alleged phone tapping, the DGP said that the Special Investigation Team has been investigating the case and the probe will take its own course and it was too early to say anything.
