It’s Communal polarisation: Thomas Isaac
Increasing communalism in the state has polarized voters
Thiruvananthapuram: CPM leader and former state finance minister T. M. Thomas Isaac has said that CPM should make a serious introspection on the reasons for the failure in the election.
Mr Isaac, while reacting to the CPM defeat in the election, said the party accepted that some Hindus were moving towards communal politics.
However, CPM should not be blamed for it, Mr Isaac said. "The reason why people are moving to Hindu communal forces is not because of CPM, but because of the Congress Party's policies," he said. The votes that BJP got should otherwise have automatically come to the Left.’
However, increasing communalism in the state has polarized voters. As a result, making them opt for the BJP, Mr Isaac said.
