Thiruvananthapuram: For M. T. Sulekha, former Speaker G. Karthikeyan's widow and mother of K. S. Sabarinadhan, Tuesday’s victory of her son is a sweet revenge.

A few weeks back, at one of the meetings of the UDF, she lashed out at CPM candidate M. Vijayakumar saying that the same detractors who had defeated her husband in the 1987 Assembly elections (Thiruvananthapuram North) are still in the fray. Dr Sulekha  told reporters that it was Karthikeyan’s sixth consecutive win. She said people have given a fitting tribute to Karthikeyan by defeating those who had hurt his soul by raising baseless allegations against him.
