JoSAA to regulate the joint seat allocation for admissions to IITs,NITs and govt funded institutes

Chennaii: The Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) for Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) and National Institute of Technology (NIT) admission launched the website for students to fill in their choices on July 1.The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) released the rank list of candidates who cracked JEE (main) on early hours of July 1.

According to the new schedule, students can register online and fill their choice from July 1 to 5. JoSAA will display the mock seat allocation on July 4, first round of seat allocation will be on July 7, followed by second round from July 8to 12.

The HRD ministry set up JoSAA this year to manage and regulate the joint seat allocation for admissions to 87 institutes including 18 IITs, 31 NITs, 18 IIITs and 18 other-union government funded technical institutes in the country. Admission to all the academic programmes offered by these Institutes will be made through a single platform from this year.
