My job is to entertain: Jay Bhanushali
Actor will anchor the latest season of Zee TV’s Dance India Dance
Jay Bhanushali, who started off with TV and moved on to the big screen, is back to the small screen. He will anchor the latest season of Zee TV’s Dance India Dance. For Jay, it is about getting back to doing something he loves. He says, “I enjoy anchoring this show because although I am given some dialogues, most of it is impromptu. I like having fun on stage. In fact, the channel has to remind me to stick to the script.”
This season will see Punit Pathak, Gaiti Siddiqui and Mudassar Khan replacing the older judges Geeta Kapoor, Remo D’souza and Terence Lewis. Jay admits he will miss the camaraderie they shared on the sets. He says, “I will miss them, but then at times there are other projects that are more important. For instance, I didn’t take up last season since I had to focus on other projects. One has to move on. My job is to entertain. If I get emotional, I won’t be able to give my best.”
Jay shares a great rapport with Mithun Chakraborty, who is the grandmaster on the show. He adds that he has known the veteran actor for so long that it is now evident on screen. He says, “We have known each other for so long that we share a strong bond now. This season too, viewers can expect the same masti. Dada has a great sense of humour.”
