Hyderabad: With nationwide mobile number portability going live, mobile users in the city are excited as they believe it will force mobile service providers to become more responsible towards the users.
Users who have had complaints about a service provider were earlier stuck to a particular provider due to their number being known to a large number of contacts. “I often wanted to change my service provider when complaints were not attended to properly. I feel they do not take customers seriously, but with MNP, the customer will become the focal point again. They cannot take the risk of unhappy customers now,” said Lakshmi Nair, a user.
