Hyderabad: 16 organs donated in one day
All 3 donors had met with an accident

Hyderabad: Three brain-dead patients donated their organs to the Jeevandan scheme of the government on July 3. All the three had met with a road accident. They donated 16 organs including kidneys, liver, cornea’s and heart valves.
The organ donations were carried out at the Yashoda Hospital, Kamineni Hospital and Apollo Hospital. The donors were 43-year-old school teacher Sadasiva, 50-year-old E. Yadaiah and 58-year-old Appa Rao.
They were taken to hospitals but didn’t recover. The neurosurgeon declared them brain-dead when they stopped responding to treatment.
