IB did not consult state govt: Oommen Chandy

New Delhi: Chief Minister Oommen Chandy on Friday confirmed that Intelligence Bureau had submitted a report stating that Mullaperiyar dam faced terror threats but IB had not consulted Kerala government.

Kerala Government had written a letter to Home Minister Rajnath Singh, conveying the State's displeasure in not being informed about such a “serious” matter, Mr Chandy said.

However, Mr Chandy said steps would be taken to fortify dam security irrespective of the veracity of the IB report.
