TTD EO answers to pilgrim-callers during ‘Dial-your EO’ programme

TirupatiTTD executive officer, Dr D. Sambasiva Rao, on Friday asserted that the management has taken the initiative to make online booking more pilgrim-friendly. Addressing media persons at Annamaiah Bhavan after the Dial-Your-EO programme, he said, with an aim to provide hassle-free and comfortable darshan to more number of pilgrims, TTD has brought some amendments in the existing online booking system of the special entry darshan.
 
"Now the pilgrims can book the tickets online till midnight. The online quota for Rs 300 is extended to 26,000 and Rs 50 to 4,000. The darshan for both these categories is provided from 9 am to 9 pm everyday in different slots," he maintained.
 
Meanwhile, over a dozen queries poured in on how to get a comfortable, hassle-free darshan during Dial-your-EO programme held earlier. Reacting to a caller Jayalakshmi from Texas, USA, the EO said TTD has enabled Rs 300 online booking by bringing some amendments in the booking system.
 
Pilgrims from all over the world can book these tickets with ease and have a pleasant darshan of Lord Venkateswara," he maintained. Another caller, Padmaja from USA suggested decorating Goddesses during Kalyanotsavam with floral plaits as they enhance the grandeur of the deities. In his response, the EO said that the suggestion is well taken and will be discussed with agama scholars.
 
Answering a caller K. Srinivas from Srikakulam, the EO said online allotment of accommodation will be soon implemented in Vishnu Nivasam located in Tirupati on the lines of Tirumala to enhance transparency in the system.
