TTD to launch its Tamil TV channel
Sambasiva Rao said all the works will be completed by July 10

Tirupati: TTD is contemplating to launch a Tamil Channel soon. TTD executive officer, Dr Sambasiva Rao revealed this while pointing to lakh of pilgrims visiting Tirumala from Tamil Nadu stressing that they occupy second place next to Telugu states.
He was addressing media persons at Tirumala on Friday after "Dial your EO" programme. He said the replica temple which is going to be erected in Rajahmundry is going to be a special attraction during Godavari Mahapushkaram.
He said all the works will be completed by July 10. "The muhurat for the opening of the temple has been fixed at 9:30 am on July 13 by the pundits," he maintained. Earlier, answering pilgrims callers Charabandam Reddy and Kumara Swamy from Krishna district, the EO said that the prime motto of TTD is to protect, preserve and promote Hindu Sanatana Dharma.
"For this, we are planning unique programmes with Hindu Dharma Prachara Parishat including the supply of short books on epics, training programme to teachers and students on moral values through famous fables and stories from puranas etc. Even we are supplying Bharata, Bhagavata books at subsidised rates to libraries with an intention to develop moral values among children. We are also conducting summer camps to the students on moral values," the EO said.
