S Sruthi enthralls Puzhal jail women inmates

Twelve year old performed for about two hours much to the delight of the inmates

Chennai: In a welcoming change for their routine daily schedule, inmates of the special prison for women at Puzhal, on Saturday, were treated to a musical therapy session. Twelve-year-old S. Sruthi enthralled the audience with her performance.  

Sruthi, the granddaughter of Nataka Kavalar R.S. Manohar, performed for about two hours much to the delight of the inmates. Observing the 91st birth anniversary of veteran actor late R.S. Manohar, Sruthi showcased her cultural talents by singing several songs besides delivering a solo acting performance highlighting on 96 Udal Thatuvangal wherein she acted as Thirunavukarasar.
